LoreVeil Terms of Service

Welcome to LoreVeil! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the LoreVeil website and services ("Services"). By using our platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using LoreVeil, you agree to comply with and be legally bound by these Terms, whether or not you become a registered user.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use LoreVeil. If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian.

3. User Content and Ownership

• Your Creations: You retain full ownership of the stories, characters, and worlds you create, except where explicitly stated otherwise (see Section 4).
• LoreVeil License: By using the platform, you grant LoreVeil a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual license to use, display, and reproduce your content solely for purposes of fulfilling services, promoting your work, or showcasing user creations.
• Shared Veils: If you collaborate with others (e.g., in Shared Veils), all involved parties jointly hold rights to the created material. LoreVeil is not responsible for disputes arising from joint ownership.
• Book Workshop: Participants in Book Workshops agree to a limited-use license that allows LoreVeil to review and provide feedback. All publishing rights remain with the creator unless a separate agreement is signed.

4. LoreVeil Originals and Templates

• Any story world, character, or content provided by LoreVeil as part of the service ("LoreVeil Originals") remains the exclusive intellectual property of LoreVeil.
• You may write letters or interact within these worlds, but derivative works or commercial use outside of LoreVeil requires written permission.

5. Letter Delivery and Communication

• LoreVeil delivers physical letters via USPS unless otherwise specified.
• Delivery times may vary (typically 2-5 business days for U.S. domestic mail).
• You may optionally write back to characters, which will be handled according to your subscription tier.

6. Subscription and Billing

• LoreVeil offers multiple subscription tiers (e.g., Squire, Scribe, Scholar).
• By subscribing, you authorize recurring billing according to the pricing of your selected tier.
• You may cancel at any time, but partial refunds are not guaranteed.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use LoreVeil to:

• • Violate any applicable law or regulation
• • Harass, threaten, or impersonate others
• • Post offensive, obscene, or inappropriate content
• • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems or user data

8. Account and Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and all activities under your account.

9. Termination

LoreVeil reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts at its discretion for violations of these Terms or any behavior deemed harmful to the platform or community.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

11. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall LoreVeil be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the service.

12. No Sexual or Explicit Content

LoreVeil is committed to creating a safe, respectful, and imaginative storytelling environment for all members. We do not allow the creation, exchange, or inclusion of sexually explicit, pornographic, or "smut" content in any form. This includes but is not limited to explicit depictions of sexual acts, sexualized depictions of minors, or any sexual content that violates applicable laws.

Any Veil, character, or correspondence found to contain such material may be removed without notice, and repeated or severe violations may result in account suspension or termination.

13. Changes to the Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. We will notify users of any significant changes through the website or via email.
